More than 300 active individual clients are serviced. The portfolio of unit trust investments which is managed for clients, exceeds R 600 million. We strive, at all times, to provide quality personal service, professional advice, and the best possible investment, tax and estate planning solutions for our clients. Stead Wealth Management provides individual solutions to meet each client's personal needs. After-sales service is important to us. Hence, regular portfolio reviews are conducted.
Shareholding
Stead Wealth Management (Pty) Ltd is 25% owned by Insinger de Beaufort Investments (SA) (Pty) Ltd. Their ultimate holding company is Insinger de Beaufort Holdings SA, which is listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
Ian Kantor, the founder of the Investec Bank group in the early seventies, and who remains a non-executive director of Investec Holdings in South Africa, is vice-chairman of the Insinger Group. The Insinger Group is controlled by BNP Paribas, the second largest bank in the world and one of only four global banks with an AA credit rating. Through this association, Stead Wealth and Insinger is planning to further expand their services in the private banking arena.
The other shareholders are Pieter Stead (CFP) and Johan Van Heerden (BCom, BProc, CFP). Both Pieter and Johan are actively involved in the running of the business.
Succession Planning
Significant future security is provided by the strategic shareholding of Insinger, with the backing of BNP Paribas, one of the four safest banks in the world.
Johan Van Heerden, a qualified lawyer with more than twelve years' experience in the financial services industry, is earmarked to take more of a leading role in the company as time progresses.
